Kwaidan (1964)

We are talking about, for many, the best horror movie of all time, the great reference of the acclaimed Asian horror cinema. It adapts four stories by Lafcadio Hearn in his famous Kwaidan and does so with several of the most beautiful color images in the history of cinema, which doesn’t stop him from putting your hair on point.
The scariest moment is found in each of the four chapters, but the first, “Black Hair”, leaves a lasting impact as the protagonist returns home. We highly recommend experiencing it for yourself, although if you’re easily frightened or plan on pursuing hairdressing, it may not be for you.

Although Luca Guadagnino made an estimable version in 2018. Dario Argento’s masterpiece about this dance school/house of witches continues to amaze. The first day with a suffocating and darkly ghostly dreamlike aesthetic.
Scariest moment: When the protagonist arrives at the school on a rainy night, and as soon as she opens, she sees the corpse of a girl hanging from the ceiling. It didn’t take long for us to discover that it was not a vision but a reality. She leaves to return the next morning, we would have gone to Mars in an Elon Musk ship.
Deliverance (1972)
Action, Adventure, Thriller
Horror movies have always managed to make rural settings terrifying and nothing better than Deliverance to prove it. Four friends end up in a remote place during their weekend excursion and are raped and persecuted by the scary locals.
Scariest Moment: While the famous rape moment is horrifying. The scariest is the famous performance of the boy and his banjo. It’s something beautiful and so creepy at the same time. That it makes you want to say, very nice, let’s get out of here. They should have.
