Wanting an heir at all costs, the man tries to convince his wife to have an extramarital affair with someone of their rank, while she is growing ever closer to Oliver Mellors, the gamekeeper of the estate where the couple live.Â
Blue Jay (2016)

Mark Duplass and Sarah Paulson star in this indie production by Alex Lehmann. Jim and Amanda were high school sweethearts. After that losing touch for many years, the two find themselves in the aisles of a supermarket and decide to meet again for a nostalgic chat. A man has married Amanda, and she now serves as a stepmother to his daughters, and their lives have changed significantly. Jim is back in town to renovate his deceased mother’s house and, with little else in her life than him, feels like a failure. It is by retracing places and memories of their past together that a feeling that is difficult to manage re-emerges between the two. Blu Jay is a small and precious romantic story, never released in theaters in Italy.
